So my goal in 1 piece / 2 ways is to take one item and remix it to get two completely different looks out of it. For all of us girls on a budget, the ability to make several outfits out of each piece is essential to making those dollars stretch. Here's my take on a fabulous blazer I found at Forever 21+
Take 1
This was the weekend casual version. Since the weather cooled down just a smidge, I took it as the perfect opportunity to throw on this pretty red blazer. I paired it with a basic white tank and jeans to add a nice pop of color to an otherwise plain outfit and for the finishing touches, added a pair of aqua chandelier earrings, nude heels, my favorite Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses and a multicolored straw daytime clutch. Leaving the blazer open gives it more of a relaxed vibe, but it's still pulled together.
OR
Here's the daytime professional version. I wanted to be polished but still have some fun with it so this time I added the blazer to a black and white dress and cinched it with a black patent leather belt. I also added matching peep-toe pumps and a daytime clutch. I kept it simple with the jewelry, just wearing a pair of chic gold hoops and gold bangles. The difference is in the details. Pulling it together with the patent leather accessories take a simple outfit from frumpy to foxy!
